Augusta, South Carolina, from cancer. He served in the U.S.

Ernest Amabile, 61, died in Albany,
New York. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member

He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-68. He was a member

Shane Beatty, 35, died May 12 in Greenville, North Carolina,
from a gunshot wound. He was a member of Associates of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Greenville Chapter 292.

Joseph Bianco, 57, died February 25 in Whiting, New Jersey.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was
a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Cedar Grove

Robert C. Boswell, 63, died July 1 in Philadelphia
from cancer. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the
Vietnam War. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Liberty

John Broomall, 61, died April
7 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. He was a veteran of the Vietnam
War and a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Springfield

Robert Leroy
Brown, 54, died April 6, 2006, in Culpeper, Virginia. He
was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a life member of
Vietnam Veterans of America-Rixeyville Chapter 752.
Henry Edward Budd, 60, died at his home on June 14, 2007,
from esophageal cancer. He served with 101st Airborne in
Vietnam. He was wounded in Hue, for which he received the
Purple Heart. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Stanhope
Chapter 327.
Henry Burke died July 17 in Brooklyn, New York,
of complications from surgery. He served in the U.S. Army
during the Vietnam War with the First Cavalry Division and
was awarded the Bronze Star with “V” device and
the Purple Heart. He was a VAVS Representative at the Brooklyn
VA Medical Center. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Brooklyn Chapter 72.
Perry King Burrows, 51, died April 21 in Greenville,
North Carolina, from a heart attack. He served in the U.S.
Army during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm and retired
in the U.S. Army Reserves after 30 years of service. He was
a life member of Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America-Greenville
Chapter 272.
Anthony A. Cacioppo, 69, died November 9, 2007.
He served as a Captain in the Army during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Bettendorf
Chapter 776.
Richard Gray Caldwell, 62, died November 30, 2006, in
Concord, Massachusetts, from lung cancer. He was a veteran
of the Vietnam War. Caldwell was a member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Concord Chapter 116.
James Edward Callahan, 62, died
July 29 as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle
accident. A Vietnam veteran, he was a sergeant in the Army
from 1965-69. He served as a combat medic and was awarded
the Bronze Star and the Bronze Star medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
He was a life member and president of Vietnam Veterans of
America-Pittsfield Chapter 65.
Lexie
Carter, 66, died in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. He was a
veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Graterford Chapter 466.
David Castell,
61, died March 8 in North Las Vegas from an accident. He
served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Las Vegas Chapter 17.

Edward Chaffin, Jr., 61, died June 20 in West Columbia,
South Carolina, from cancer. He served in the U.S. Navy from
1967-71 and was stationed at Cam Ranh Bay in Vietnam. He
was a founding member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Columbia
Chapter 303.
Edward Clement Charvat, 69, died January 10 in Baltimore.
He was a member of Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America-Baltimore
Chapter 451.
Michael D. Clark, 61, died March 21, 2007, in
Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, from cancer. He served in the
U.S. Marine Corps from 1962-66 with a tour of duty in Danang
from 1965-66. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans of
America-Wisconsin Rapids Chapter 101.
Ralph B. Clay, 65, died in Fort Mohave,
Arizona. He was a life member of Associates of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Kingman Chapter 975.
Daniel J. Collins II, 60, died October 27, 2007,
in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. He was a member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Hollidaysburg Chapter 967.
John Anthony Colucco, 61, died December 17, 2007,
in Post Sainte Lucie, Florida. He served as a Navy Corpsman
from 1964-67. Colucco served in Vietnam from 1966-67 with
Charley Company, 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st
Marine Division. He was awarded a Silver Star, Bronze Star,
Two Purple Hearts, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Presidential
Unit Citation, and the Fleet Marine Force Service Ribbon.
He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Port Ste.

a motorcycle accident. He served in the U.S. Army Special

E. Culver, 75, died January 9 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He served
in the U.S. Army with two tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired
after 32 years of service. Culver was a member of Vietnam

Paul Daugherty, 72, died August 18, 2003, in Glen Saint Mary,
Florida. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1962-66 during the
Vietnam War. He retired after a 20-year career. He was a
life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-James Michael
Ray Memorial (Albion) Chapter 818.
Jerald T. Denny,
64, died January 2 in Rochester, New York. He was an Army
veteran of Vietnam where he served in the 25th Infantry Div.

Flack, 74, died April 3 in Jamestown, North Carolina, from
multiple myeloma. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea, Vietnam,
and the Dominican Republic. He retired after 22 years of
service. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-West
End Chapter 966.
Jay Merrill Fowle, 68, died
May 11 at his home in Cape May Court, New Jersey. He served
in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Cape May Chapter 955.
Earl C. Frank, 62, died December 17, 2007,
in Glendive, Montana. He joined the U.S. Navy in the fall
of 1963 and served for four years. He was a life member of

Robert L. Franz, 84, died April 7 in Manitowoc,
Wisconsin. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1943-46
in World War II. He was a member of Associates of Vietnam

Aloysius Bowling Gardiner,
73, died May 22 in Williamsburg, Virginia, from heart and
lung disease. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps for 23 years,
including service in Korea and Vietnam. He was a life member

James Lowell Gingerich, 64, died June 21 at his
home in Blue Springs, Mississippi, from cancer. He served
in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member

John Martin Hayes, 61,
of Conway, South Carolina, died July 15 from heart disease.
He was a Master Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years.
He served three tours in the Vietnam War and received the
Silver Star. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Little
River Chapter 925.
Thomas I. Heckman,
70, died in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of
the Vietnam War and an at-large member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Pennsylvania.
Millard P. Heistand,
69, died March 10, 2007, in Charleston, South Carolina, from
ventricular fibrillation, coronary heart disease, and diabetes
mellitus type II. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and
in the U.S. Army with two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was
a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Charleston Chapter
780.
Ralph H. Helms, Sr., 78, died April 11 in Lawton,
Oklahoma. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in June 1947 and served
for 20 years in Japan, Korean, Vietnam, and Germany. He was
a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Lawton Chapter 751.

C. Hillestad, 61, died in Iola, Kansas. He was a veteran
of the Vietnam War and a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Wichita
Chapter 934.
Dennis Ralph Hodge, 57, died May 18 in Houston.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1970-74 with a tour
of duty in Vietnam. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Houston Chapter 343.
Russell B. Hodges, 77, died December 8 in Lompoc,
California, from a heart attack. He served in the U.S. Air
Force during the Vietnam War from 1965-66 as a combat forward
air controller supporting the Army Special Forces and retired
in 1981 at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He was awarded
the Distinguished Flying Cross, three Meritorious Service
Awards, 16 Air Medal Awards, and many other awards. He was
an at-large life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-California.
Lynn Bradley Hulsey,
60, died May 10 in Gainesville, Georgia. He served in the
U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Gainesville Chapter 772.
Charles Oliver Hunt, 64, died at home May 25. He served
in the U.S. Army, stationed in Korea from 1962-65. He was
a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Owego (New York)
Chapter 480.
Lloyd E. Hydle, 59, died June 24 in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Colorado, from a heart attack. He served in the U.S. Navy

at home in Warren, Arkansas, October 2, 2007, from cancer.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Jensen was a member

died March 13 in Hainesport, New Jersey, from complications
from transplants. He served in the U.S. Navy in Vietnam 1970-71
and in Bosnia-Herzegovina and retired in 2007. He was a member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Bordentown Chapter 899.
Francis H. Kelly, 80, died February 11 in Wakefield, Rhode
Island. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-South County (Wakefield) Chapter
325.
Leslie B. Kelly, Jr., 72, died recently in Kissimmee,
Florida. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a life member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Kissimmee Chapter 755.

Edward Kirk, 78, died May 9 in Wenatchee, Washington, from
diabetes mellitus type II. He served in the U.S. Air Force
from 1950-76, with tours in Newfoundland, Germany, and Vietnam.

Ronnie J. Klam, 61, committed suicide June
11 at his home in Dubina, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army

Michael Walter Klesk, 60, died May 16 in Minneapolis.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Vietnam

84, died in May in Benicia, California. He was a veteran

Langevin, 70, died June 18 in Richmond, Indiana, from metastatic
lung cancer. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member

Charles Stanhope Lauraine, Jr., 60, died January
3 after a long battle with diabetes and heart trouble. He
served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam with two tours of duty
in 1966-67 and 1969-70. He was an at-large life member of
Vietnam Veterans of America-Texas.
Elwood A.D. Lechausse of Enfield, Connecticut,
died May 17 at the age of 67. The cause of death was esophageal
cancer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1958-65 with the
101st Airborne Division. During his Vietnam tour, he served
with the 178th Signal (Spt), 39th Signal Battalion in Qui
Nhon. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Hartford
Chapter 120. He was inducted into the Connecticut Veterans
Hall of Fame in 2007.
Kevin D. Lehmann died December 21, 2007, in
Chicago from a heart attack. He was a veteran of the Vietnam
War and a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Chicago Chapter
209.

B. Little, 67, died April 2 in Winfield, Kansas. He was a
veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Wichita Chapter 934.
Jon Anthony Loren,
64, died June 14 in Brookings, Oregon, from lymphoma and
leukemia. He served in the Coast Guard in the South Pacific,
including Vietnam. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of

attack. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1961-66 with

Marshall McDonnell, 74, died April 8 in Colleyville, Texas,
from brain cancer. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was
a pilot in Vietnam from 1965-66. He retired in 1985 after
30 years of service. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Arlington Chapter 330.
Sarah Louise McDonnell,
70, died May 15 in Colleyville, Texas, from TTP disease.
She married Air Force Pilot Joseph “Skip” McDonnell
shortly after her return from Vietnam. She served in the
U.S. Air Force as a triage nurse in Vietnam and was an at-large
life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Texas.

Mercado-Jimenez, 62, died October 18, 2007, in Ponce, Puerto
Rico, from lung cancer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-69
with a tour of duty in Vietnam. He was an at-large member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Puerto Rico.
Charles
Richard Mexico died June 21 in Monroe, Michigan, from lung
cancer. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Southgate Chapter 259.
Lowell F. Meyers, 60, died May 10 in Marquette, Michigan,
from cancer. He served in Vietnam. He was a member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Negaunee Chapter 380.
John Mihailoff,
67, died April 22 in Vail, Arizona, from Agent Orange-related
esophageal cancer. He served two tours in Vietnam in the
U.S. Army from 1965-66 and from 1970-71. Mihailoff was a
member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Tucson Chapter 106.
Theodore C. Miller, 70, died in June in Winfield,
Kansas. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Wichita Chapter 934.
