A Vietnam veteran recalls that a small non-military craft
(sampan?) exploded after being on fire as observed from H.M.A.S.
Sydney (an Australian aircraft carrier). A small military
patrol-type boat (nationality unknown) is recalled as also
being on operations in the vicinity at the time. Official
records do not record such an episode.
