Two of VVA’s National Capital area chapters, Northern
Virginia Chapter 227 and Washington,
D.C., Chapter 958, are
hosting social events that are open to all Vietnam veterans
and other visitors to the 25th Anniversary celebration of
the dedication of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington
over Veterans Day Weekend. If you’re looking for a
good meal at a good price and the chance to meet fellow Vietnam
veterans, look no further.
Newly formed Chapter 958 will hold
a Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Dinner Dance on Friday, November
9, at 7 p.m. at the NDW Catering and Conference Center, 1454
Parsons Ave., S.E. at the Washington Navy Yard. The cost
is $50 for a complete dinner buffet. For more information,

Chapter 227’s 19th
annual DMZ to Delta Dance will take place following the big
VVA- sponsored parade on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Rosslyn
Holiday Inn, 1900 N. Ft. Meyer Dr. in Arlington, Virginia,
from 8 p.m. to midnight. Admission is $30 per person for
this fund-raising event, which includes a cash bar, dancing,
finger food, silent auction, 50/50 raffle, free parking,
collectibles, and veteran camaraderie.
There’s
a pre-dance warm-up beginning at 7 p.m. with cash bar and
hors d’oeuvres in the hotel’s
