John Louis Amendola died January 6, 2005, in West Columbia,
South Carolina, due to exposure to Agent Orange. He served
in the U.S. Army from May 1968-70, with a tour of duty
in Vietnam from October 1968-69. He was a life member of
Vietnam Veterans of America-Columbia Chapter 303
Roger
Andal died June 13 in Brandon, South Dakota, at the age
of 57. A veteran of the Vietnam War, he was a life member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Sioux Falls Chapter 959.
John
A. Barilla died from cancer July 9 in Elmwood Park, Illinois.
He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam with the 196th Light
Infantry Brigade. Barilla was a member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Des Plaines Chapter 311.
Lloyd D. Blackwell,
66, died May 20 at home of a heart attack in Oroville,
California. He served in the U.S. Army with a tour of duty
in Vietnam from June 1966 to May 1968. Blackwell was a
life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Corning Chapter
582.
Ted M. Blass died recently in Sac City, Iowa. He was
born August 24, 1944. Blass was a veteran of the Vietnam
War and a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Aurelia
Chapter 888.
Paul T. Bobenrieth died July 22 in Saint Marys,
Pennsylvania, at the age of 56. The cause of death was
Agent Orange-related cancer. He served in the U.S. Army
with two tours of duty in Vietnam from 1969-70. Bobenrieth
was a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Saint
Marys Chapter 948.
Ray E. Bowman died recently in Fremont,
Nebraska. Bowman was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a
life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Fremont Chapter
397.
Leonard Clifton Burns, Jr., 61, committed suicide July
21, 2005, in Waterloo, South Carolina. He was a veteran
of the Vietnam War. Burns was a member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Barnwell Chapter 828.
Barry Buttars died recently
in Lennon, Michigan. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War
and a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Flint Chapter
175.
William George Cahill, 54, died June 21 in Hilton, New
York, of ventricular fibrillation due to myocardial infarction.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1970-73 with a tour of
duty in Vietnam. Cahill was a life member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Rochester Chapter 20.
David C. Clark died June
16 in Flat Rock, Michigan, at the age of 65. The cause
of death was heart attack. He served in the U.S. Marine
Corps for 26 months with a tour of duty in Vietnam. Clark
was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Detroit Chapter
259.
Charles H. Cole, Jr., died January 31 in Kingston,
New York, at the age of 62. He was a veteran of the Vietnam
War and a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Kingston
Chapter 60.
Richard S. Crockett, 61, died recently in Upper
Marlboro, Maryland. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Crockett
was an at-large life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Maryland.
Jack
Crosiar died recently in Arroyo Grande, California, at
the age of 56. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and
an at-large member of Vietnam Veterans of America-California.
John
F. Daniele, 56, died recently in Crossville, Tennessee.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps with a tour of duty
in Vietnam from March 1968-September 1969. Daniele was
a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Cookeville
Chapter 741.
Rusch Elliot Long died from cancer June 2 in
Colfax, California, at the age of 71. He joined the Army
National Guard at the age of 15. He joined the U.S. Navy
Construction Battalion (CBs) Reserve when he was 18. Long
served active duty in the CBs from 1959-62 with MCB-11
on Okinawa, Midway, and Port Hueneme. He later transferred
into the Air Force Reserve and was discharged as a Chief
Master Sergeant in 1984. Long was a life member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Grass Valley Chapter 535.
Dan Deoppel died recently in Grants Pass, Oregon. A veteran of the
Vietnam War, Deoppel was a member of Vietnam Veterans of
America-Grants Pass Chapter 867.
Richard Erwin Dibble died April 2 in Citrus Heights, California,
at the age of 60. The cause of death was Widley meastitc
renal cell carcinoma. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Dibble
was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Sacramento
Chapter 500.
William R. Fisher, 58, died July 29 in Montrose,
Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Fisher
was an at-large member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Pennsylvania.
Thomas
H. Fox, 62, died recently in Owings Mills, Maryland. A
veteran of the Vietnam War, Fox was a member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Baltimore Chapter 451.
Raymond D. Fuehrer died recently in Fremont, Nebraska, at the age of 61. He
was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Vietnam
Veterans of America- Fremont Chapter 397.
Roy Gregory Hicks,
Sr., 68, died April 25, 2006, in Easton, Maryland, of pancreatic
liver and colon cancer. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps
from 1958-76 with two tours of duty in Vietnam, 1964-65
and 1967-68. He retired after 23 years of service at the
rank of Master Sergeant. Hicks was a member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Easton Chapter 648.
Larry B. “Bear” Hughes,
58, was killed with his brother in an auto accident June
29 in Fullerton, California. He served in the U.S. Army
with two tours of duty in Vietnam with E Company, 75th
Rangers, 9th Infantry Division with the Long Range Reconnaissance
Patrol (LRRP). He was awarded three Silver Stars, five
Bronze Stars, and three Purple Hearts. Hughes was a member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Orange Country Chapter 785.
Junior
L. Jackson, 59, died July 7 in Yountville, California,
at the age of 59. The cause of death was congestive heart
failure. Jackson served in the U.S. Navy with service in
the Vietnam War. He was a life member of Vietnam Veterans
of America-Yountville Chapter 702.
David L. Johnson died
March 6 in Port Washington, Wisconsin, at the age of 59.
A veteran of the Vietnam War, Johnson was an at-large member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Wisconsin.
Albert G. Langhorne
III died May 10 in West Chester, Pennsylvania, at the
age of 69. His death was Agent Orange-related. A veteran
of the Vietnam War, Langhorne was a life member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Phoenixville Chapter 436.
Martha W.
Lee died June 4 of a heart attack in Memphis. She was a
member of Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America-Memphis
Chapter 875.
Neil E. Long, 65, died July 31 in Kansas City,
Missouri. Long was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a life
member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Kansas City Chapter
317.
Keith G. Lucia, 54, died May 24 in Clinton Township,
Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army with a tour of duty
in Vietnam. Lucia was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Roseville
Chapter 154.
Edward Mark died May 16 in White City, Oregon,
at the age of 76. A veteran of the Vietnam War, Mark was
an at-large member of Vietnam Veterans of America- Oregon.
Raymond
C. “Clarkie” Mason, Jr., died May 28
in Riverside, California, at the age of 59. The cause of
death was septic shock due to multiple infected wounds.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964-70, including
three tours of duty in Vietnam as a squad leader and field
sergeant. Mason was severely wounded during the Tet Offensive
in February 1968 and remained wheelchair-bound. He was
a life member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Providence
Chapter 273.
Daniel L. McCurdy died June 29, 2005, in Corpus
Christi, Texas, at the age of 58. He was a veteran of the
Vietnam War. McCurdy was a member of Vietnam Veterans of
America-Corpus Christi Chapter 910.
Darrell Keith “Mac” McKinnis,
60, died July 16 in Lawton, Oklahoma. He served in the
U.S. Army from 1965-69 with two tours of duty in the 101st
Airborne Division in Vietnam. From 1971-74, he served in
the Army National Guard. He later rejoined the Army as
a drill sergeant at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, and retired in
1983. McKinnis was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Lawton
Chapter 751.
Stanley S. Meston, 68, died June 11 in Vero
Beach, Florida, of a PTSD-related self-inflicted gunshot
wound. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961-84, with three
tours of duty in Vietnam. Meston was awarded the Purple
Heart, among other awards. He was a life member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Palm Beach Gardens Chapter 680.
Jock Gerald Morell,
58, was found dead November 6, 2005, in his home in Savannah,
Georgia. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Cape Coral Chapter 594.
Alexander P. Morris died October 5, 2004,
in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, at the age of 60. A veteran
of the Vietnam War, Morris was an at-large member of Vietnam
Veterans of America-Pennsylvania.
Mary M. Morse died April
26 in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 57. She was
a life member of Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America-North
Little Rock Chapter 184.
Charles E. Muncey, Jr., died in
1999 in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 50. He was
a veteran of the Vietnam War and an at-large member of
Vietnam Veterans of America-Kentucky.
Billie J. Nation died
recently in Riverside, Iowa. He was a veteran of the Vietnam
War and an at-large member of Vietnam Veterans of America-Iowa.
Ernst
Allan Nordstrom II died July 7 in Antioch, Illinois, at
the age of 61. The cause of death was cardiac arrest and
glioblastoma (brain tumor). He served in the U.S. Army
with a tour of duty in Vietnam. Nordstrom was a member
of Vietnam Veterans of America-Belleville Chapter 209.
