Region 9 REPORT
From The Biggest Little City

By the time you read this, we will be ready for the 2009 VVA National Convention in Louisville. Regions 8 and 9 will have held our pre-Convention Conference in the biggest little city—Reno—and selected our delegates to the Convention, discussed the amendments and resolutions, and heard from some of the candidates.

Just a quick reminder to have your chapters and state councils support the Mike Nash Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament by sponsoring a tee or green sign and entering a foursome to support our youth in their education.

Over the last year and a half, I have visited state council meetings and worked with the presidents and their chapters to help veterans and their families. Their dedication and commitment to the mission has been outstanding. They are doing this with their community outreach and their growing Service Officer programs. I have appreciated the hospitality that they have shown me, and I look forward to more visits.

Keep up the good work, and we will see you all in Louisville.
