The committee is getting started on the programs for the next
two years. At our January meeting we set goals and determined
the financial needs to accomplish these goals. There was talk
about updating the four VVA guides and reprinting them. Also
on the drawing board is a trifold to be printed and given to
returning soldiers with a list of places to go to find work.
Also on the list of items is
our National Leadership Conference presentation on finding
meaningful work at a living wage for all veterans. Any
questions you have are welcome and may be sent to me by
e-mail: agibson@vva.org
or fax: 573-814-0348.
We are still looking for
workers in the employment and training areas of the committee.
You do not have to attend the meetings, since attendance is at
no expense to National. You just have to be willing to help
your brothers and sisters in dealing with the employment
sector of life. Contact your state council presidents, and
they will contact me.
Please check out the ETaBO page
on VVA’s web site, www.vva.org
Feel free to make suggestions about what you would like to see
on it. We have to work together in making the site and our
organization a viable tool for all veterans.
