Capt. Bill Meeks, Sr., was a P-51 fighter pilot with the Army Air Corps in the South Pacific, 1941-45. L/Cpl. Bill Meeks, Jr. served with the Marines in Vietnam in 1968. He now serves on the VVA National Board of Directors and chairs the Membership Committee. His son, SSgt. Chris Meeks, also serves with the Marines. He is a Desert Storm veteran who is currently on his second tour in Iraq.
