Settling In |

Members of the new Board of
Directors have been settling into their responsibilities. We
have named the chairs for the following committees: Policy &
Procedure: Executive Officers with all the Regionals as part
of the committee; Bylaws: Debby Cleghorn; Membership: Linda
Haberkorn; Legislative: Nancy S. Switzer; Coping Skills: Nancy
S. Switzer; Finance: Nancy Montgomery; Long-range Planning:
Mary Yeomans; Scholarships: Judy Vargo; Disciplinary: Patsy
Varnell; Website/Talklist: Sonja Holybee; Awards: Judy Bolio;
Fundraising: Sonja Holybee and Nancy Montgomery; Paper Safes:
Executive Officers; Election: Kathy Andras; Project
Friendship: Sonja Holybee and Mary Miller; Public Relations:
Fran Davis and Sonja Holybee; Flag Committee: Elaine Simmons.
It has been a busy time for Joyce Koprowski, who is affiliated
with Chapter 195 in Florida. She has been working alongside
VVA members Tom Hall, John Koprowski, and our own Mary Yeomans
to name just a few. They have been collecting and buying
supplies for hurricane victims. In Tom Hall’s words, Joyce is
top-notch in buying supplies. Joyce is going one step further
by thinking ahead to December. She would like to have baby
blankets for all the new little ones and the ability to
replace toys destroyed in the hurricanes. Resources are sparse
and the need is great. Any donations of blankets, yarn,
fabric, and toys for boys and girls of all ages and monetary
contributions would be appreciated. Send items to:
