Sandie Wilson I
have had the pleasure of spending the last 35 years
advocating for my military and veteran brothers and
sisters. I know the issues and the mission. Achieving
the mission takes leadership and teamwork combined
with political action and business stability. I desire
to continue to serve
my fellow veterans as director at large.
Retired from the Army Nurse Corps and the University
of Michigan. Served in Vietnam 1968-1969. Currently
serve as director at large and vice president of VVAF.
National committee positions currently include:
finance, women veterans and health care. Activities in
Michigan include helping homeless veterans as a board
member of the Michigan Veterans Foundation and funding
projects which assist veterans and children as
president of Vietnam Veterans of Michigan.
Past national level experience includes constitution,
strategic plan, and veterans affairs committee. On the
state level, the experience includes 5 years as state
council president, 5 years as state council secretary.
In addition served as secretary of the Michigan Agent
Orange Commission. As commander of the Commanders
Group, lead the effort to retain veterans employment
assistance and upgrade the Veterans Homes. |
