Sandie Wilson

I have had the pleasure of spending the last 35 years advocating for my military and veteran brothers and sisters. I know the issues and the mission. Achieving the mission takes leadership and teamwork combined with political action and business stability. I desire to continue to serve
my fellow veterans as director at large.

Retired from the Army Nurse Corps and the University of Michigan. Served in Vietnam 1968-1969. Currently serve as director at large and vice president of VVAF. National committee positions currently include: finance, women veterans and health care. Activities in Michigan include helping homeless veterans as a board member of the Michigan Veterans Foundation and funding projects which assist veterans and children as president of Vietnam Veterans of Michigan.

Past national level experience includes constitution, strategic plan, and veterans affairs committee. On the state level, the experience includes 5 years as state council president, 5 years as state council secretary. In addition served as secretary of the Michigan Agent Orange Commission. As commander of the Commanders Group, lead the effort to retain veterans employment assistance and upgrade the Veterans Homes.
