2003 Candidates Statements
Allen J. Manuel My name is Allen J. Manuel: I am running for Region 7 Director. Born in Eunice, La., and residing in Ville Platte, La., Married 45 years my wife, Norma, and have 2 sons, 4 Daughters and 15 grandchildren. Retired from Amoco Prod. since 1993. Life member of VVA and A.V.V.A. When to US Army in1956 until 1966. Served one tour in Korea 1958-1959, Germany 1961-1963, Germany 1966 until my discharge day. Attending NCO academy in Fort Hood, Texas. Vietnam Veterans of American: Charter member Chapter 632, Chapter Treasurer For 6 years. La State Vice President 1996 to 2000. Elected Region 7 Director in August 1999 to Present. I am member at large and serve as a special Advisor for AVVA. I have attended every National Convention and Leadership since 1995. In 2001 I was inducted in the Chapel of Four Chaplains in 2001 and in 2002 received Achievement Medal.
In Closing, I pledge to you I will serve Region 7 with Honor, Dedication, and enthusiasm as I have done so for the last four years.
