Philip (Phil) Litteer
I enlisted 1966, Army
Private E-1, graduated OCS, was assigned to the Third
Armored Cavalry, became Troop Executive Officer,
discharged as First Lieutenant 1969. Overseas duty,
Germany. Married to an Army Nurse since 1969, Teri and
I have two sons and three granddaughters. Our elder
son is an Army Captain serving in Afghanistan.
After discharge, I earned bachelor's and master's
degrees, attended Law School, earned my Juris
Doctorate 1988, am an attorney and legal advisor to a
NY Supreme Court Judge.
Advanced from part-time youth counselor 1975, to
twice-elected Town Supervisor (highest elected Town
officer; Population 40,000; $9 million budget) and
Chair, Henrietta NY Town Council 1982-1985.
I have served VVA as Chair, National Governmental
Affairs Committee; Chair, National Constitution
Committee; Chair, Convention Rules Committe; National
Parliamentarian; Chair, Convention Resolutions
Committee; Member, National Veterans Benefits and
Constitution Committees; Presenter, National
Leadership Conferences; ten-year Director, and Vice
President, Chapter 20 (Life Member), Rochester, NY;
Delegate, State Council.
The Vice President's first priority is to be
immediately available to serve in the President's
absence. I pledge to work faithfully at our
President's side, regardless of who is elected to that
post, insuring that we are always on the "same page."
I am a skilled leader in bringing people together. I
cannot promise solutions to all of VVA's challenges;
however, I can promise that I will always try.
My record shows that I believe in working my way up. I
am experienced, and will be honored, to be your Vice
President. |
