Marsha Four

I served in the Army Nurse Corps (1968-70), at Fort Campbell, KY and in Vietnam with the 18th Surgical Hospital. I worked in nursing until 1996.

In 1993, I fostered the initiation of Philadelphia Stand Down, serving as ED until 1999. In 1996, I became Program Director for Homeless Veteran Services at The Philadelphia Veterans Multi-Service & Education Center. My responsibilities include a 95-bed transitional residence, a day service program for homeless veterans, and grant writer.

I joined Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 67, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, in 1987, serving as a Director, Vice President, Convention and State Council Delegate. At Pennsylvania State Council I am our VISN4 MAC Representative and Homeless Veteran Committee Chair.

In 1999 and 2001, I was elected National Board Director-at-Large and have served as Chair, National Women Veterans Committee; Vice Chair, Task Force on Homeless Veterans; and member, Government Affairs Committee and Health Care Task Force.

In 2001, I was appointed to the VA Women Veterans Advisory Committee and appointed Chair in August 2002. In May 2002, I was appointed consultant to the VA Homeless Veterans Advisory Committee.

In May 2003 I was awarded the Unsung Hero Award by the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans.

I am married with three sons and reside in Springfield, Pennsylvania.

I hold honesty and integrity in highest regard. If re-elected, I pledged to continue my work for VVA and veterans, with commitment and responsibility to duty.
