The Official Voice of Vietnam Veterans of America, Inc. ® An organization chartered by the U.S. Congress September/October 2002 LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE     AVVA Biennial Meeting   On August 15, Associates of Vietnam Veterans of America held its second Biennial Meeting in conjunction with the VVA Leadership Conference. The financial report was given by Bill Williams and by VVA Comptroller Dana Crosse. The Finance Committee discussed the procedures that were followed. Homeless Grants approved by the Board throughout the year totaled over $6,000. All committee reports were given, and then the group held elections of both National Officers and Regional Directors. The following are the results of the voting: President: Nancy Switzer; Vice President: Mary Miller; Secretary: Fran Davis; Treasurer: Bill Williams; Region 1 Director: Kathleen Tauer; Region 2 Director: Elaine Simmons; Region 4 Director: Mary Yeomans; Region 5 Director: Judy Bolio; Region 6 Director: Jeani Wells; Region 7 Director: Patsy Varnell; Region 8 Director: Mary Atkins; Region 9 Director: Sonja Holybee. The two new faces are Region 5 Director Judy Bolio and Region 8 Director Mary Atkins. They will bring fresh knowledge and experience to complement the incumbents.
