The New Lineup

It's a privilege to serve as the chair of this committee, especially after serving as a committee member for more than 14 years. Knowing that it was going to be tough to meet the standard set by Wayne Miller (the last chair), I set about assembling a committee of people who have been active and dedicated to serving Veterans Incarcerated. Here's your new committee lineup: Ron Adams, Region 6; Adolph Gardner, Region 3; Rocky Snow, Region 1; Allen Manual, Region 7; and special advisors Wayne Miller, Steve Mason, and Jeff White. The three past chairs--Adolph, Wayne, and Jeff--have a wealth of experience and knowledge, which I hope to utilize to the fullest.
For the first time in many years, we have a staff liaison working with the committee. Nathaniel Slayton has done an excellent job of keeping up with the mail and developing a data base to help the committee determining what goals we should pursue.
We have set some goals for the coming years. Health care and the release of elderly veterans top the list. Remember, when it comes to assisting you, we do what we can within the Constitution and the Resolutions governing this committee.
