About Chapter 582
Chapter 582 serves Butte and surrounding counties of California. We present an annual Car Show as a fund raiser and also a Flag Disposal Ceremony in conjunction with our yearly picnic. The Chapter has a Veteran's Service Advisor who works hard for the benefit of both Vietnam vets and vets of recent conflicts. Our chapter is growing and we look forward to reaching more of the vets in our local area.
We have a booth at the Local County Fair as well as the Local Air Show in Chico, CA. Our goal is to serve veterans in any capacity that we can.
Our meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month. They begin at 7PM in the Veterans Memorial Hall, 554 Rio Lindo Ave., Chico, CA.
The Chapter also publishes a monthly newsletter with pertinent information concerning chapter progress and duties.
We are reaching out to all veterans in our area and recently had an Iraqi vet present a show and tell at our meeting. He was very well received.
